Inter Milan have already decided not to make Lukas Podolski’s loan from Arsenal permanent, according to Lothar Matthaus.
The German forward has failed to impress since heading to the San Siro in January, and was voted second worst signing of the season in Serie A in a poll conducted by Gazzetta dello Sport.
And Matthaus, who played for Inter himself, says the club has decided to send Podolski back to London when his loan expires.
“Inter are not totally satisfied with Lukas’ performances,” Matthaus told Bild.
“I’d have hoped he’d do better. At the end of the season I think he’ll have to pack up and leave Inter, unless something changes dramatically.”
